  “ Tarifa is lovely place to visit. Really mixes traditional Spain with a slightly modern feel. It has long been a haunt for surfers, windsurfers and kite surfers as the wind at some times of the year can be amazingly strong. But it is very pretty and pitcturesque. Flew to Gibraltar, walked… more out of GIB across into Spain (as quick as possible as GIB not a nice place!), then hired a car and drove round the coast to Tarifa and a few surrounding villages. The people were very friendly and the food was excellent and good value. Definitely worth researching hotels in advance tough as they do get full quickly... so book a few nights so when you get there no immediate panic. Tarifa town very nice, many bars and restaurants lots of young people and a real North African influence as a ferry leaves here for North Africa a couple of times a day.close
